Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Linking with Ashely Sisk:

This week's prompts are:
Yellow, Something That Makes Me Smile, Ancient or Antique, Splash, and In the Sun.

{ Yellow }

This is SOOC...the moisture in the grass made a nice misty shot.

{ Something that Makes Me Smile }

My FIRST photo-shoot! My daughter wanted a family photo and she knows I need practice taking photos of people. They were very patient with me!!
(Also, she set the whole thing up...including the camera settings...focus is not sharp, but, it was fun!)

{ Antique }

{ Splash }

OK, This is an old photo used to represent splash.  I am looking forward to summer, when we can be on the boat again!!

{ In the Sun }

We were standing in the sun, after the storm blew over us, looking to the East as they were getting hit.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday ~ April 15

Scavenger Hunt Sunday...words for this week include:
Simple, Grain, Transportation, Stitch, and Bubble.

{ Simple }

We attended a Minnesota Twins Baseball game...The Target Field "Target" Symbol is as simple as one can get.

{ Grain }

This is a miniture stoneware bowl with "GRAINS" of sea salt...(the bowl is only 1" wide).

{ Transportation }

Again...at the Target Field, the Light Rail Transportation Rocks!!

{ Stitch }

This beautiful Hardanger piece was made by my mother-in-law....
It definitely shows the depth of field with the aperture (f/3.5).
I am not sure how I can rotate this piece to be more pleasing...???

{ Bubbles }

Cappiccino...yum!!

Project 52: Week 15 ~ Sacrifice

This week's theme is Sacrifice.
I am not sure why I had so much trouble coming up with a photo idea.  It could be I see sacrifice, everyday.  Parents with a disabled son, give up a lot of time to make sure he gets therapy and so much more. Another couple with a one year old, sacrifice their time away from him in order to balance finances and keep their family strong.  Parents of another one-year-old, tolerate long-distance travels (leaving a mother home alone with her child and a father missing his family).   A young man who has sacrificed years and years to become a surgeon.  A husband who works more than full time, in order to support his family. A beautiful couple, in Florida, who raised a family by sacrificing their time, earnings, and more -- in so many ways -- giving up everything for their three girls.

Each sacrifice is done because of LOVE.

During my hour drive to work, I randomly shot photos out my car window.  This photo reminds me of the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE...also done because of LOVE.

He is not here; he has risen! Luke 24:6

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

P52: Week 14 ~ Fooling Around

Fridays, when I am off work, I am so lucky to bring my grandson to the Library for Reading Hour. Patiently waiting and participating,with the other little ones, he seems happiest to explore the aisles of the books when the hour is complete. Fooling around @ the library, (as a toddler), can be fun!!

Fooling around at the Library

I have to add one more 'fooling around' photo.  Two 1-year-old grandsons were playing with building toys and 'fooling around' as they got in a friendly wrestling match. (love&laughter!)
